From some asshole’s blog:
F*cking PC liberal college kids. For the love of…
But I s’pose it’s my own fault, meeting up with them in the first place. They’ve been programmed by their professors, and by their PC liberal buddies, to challenge the world despite having little to no understanding of how it works; they have lots to say about hardship, despite the fact their parents shelled out thousands for them to go to college, and bought them a pretty car, etc. Bullsh*t. Nine times out of ten they’ve got a job hot out of their first four years that pays less than mine, and my time in college amounts to just over one semester. As Robert Lamm penned for the hit Chicago song, Dialogue: “When it’s time to function as a feeling human being, will your bachelor of arts help you get by?” Not in today’s world, kids. Not in today’s world.
Now don’t start your bitching just yet. READ my words. I have nothing against college. If you think you’re too good to take “average” jobs, or you want to learn something new or enhance your existing knowledge, it’s great. It’s also great looking on a resumé. In fact, I’d be back in school myself if I could wedge the required study time into my schedule. I may be an intellectual, but if I was really smart I’d be back in school, plain and simple.
What I have a problem with is the smugness of some of these kids. They’re going to school, and think so highly of themselves for it, like they’re better than me, and yet – their attitudes are so chock full of immaturity and closed mindedness, it boggles the mind. I don’t understand it, and I just don’t like it. If it ain’t in their programming its abhorrent; disgusting. Which, in itself, is abhorrent and disgusting to me.
*sigh* At any rate, it’s fine. Let the ones that want to be like that do their thing, and go their way. Life will kick them in the ass a few times, and then perhaps they’ll start to realize something. If not, ain’t my f*cking problem.
My response:
I’m trying to understand what’s more annoying: your incessant use of “cuss words” (I suppose to prove you’re a grown, independent man blah blah blah) or the fact that you’re CENSORING them as to not offend anyone. It’s sad, really.
Although I agree with you to an extent, the way you’ve worded it makes you come off as an arrogant asshole who’s bitter that YOUR mom and dad didn’t buy you the things you wanted, only the things you needed, didn’t pay for school so you didn’t go, and then you lucked out with a job that does pay more than what most Music or English majors make, or will ever make for that matter. But the fact that you’re so incredibly insecure about that is blatantly obvious by the fact that you’re masking a bad experience with a girl (who you’re angry blew you off… not in a good way) with a thinly-veiled blog to rile up attention. Does it bother you THAT much that there are independent thinkers out there? Does it piss you off enough that some people were lucky enough to have the things you didn’t? Get the fuck over it.
And I am by no means any of those things. I’m paying my own way through college, I have an incredible job and I love my life. But just because you’re so discontent with your own boring life doesn’t give you the right to take it out on everyone else. Actually, maybe it does. If it makes you feel better, right?
I’ve dated lots of girls who have the same way of thinking as the ones you’ve described, but I personally find it endearing. And I know they’ll learn the hard way, but who the fuck am I to tell them their frame of reference is wrong? Get your panties out of that bunch and get some hobbies so you won’t worry so much about what other people are doing with their life.
Who in the fuck does this guy think he is? He probably still thinks gay is a disease or a lifestyle choice.
