I want to scratch your head and blow in your ears and press my nose to your cheek and giggle against your neck. I just want to lie down next to you and stare into your eyes so long that by the end of the night, I know every fleck of color that’s in them, every way the light shines on them, how many little eyelashes you have.

If I’m cheesy, if I’m sappy and romantic and gooey, it’s only because you’ve made me this way. If I speak words that could sugar an entire cake, it’s because you’ve turned my brain into mush. If I’ve lost my mind, it’s because I’ve gone crazy over you. You make me want to do insane things for you. You make me listen to the music you like at the loudest volume, you make me want to write a flood of beautiful words for you, you make me want to tap dance on freezers. You make me want to give up my world for you. For one beautiful girl.

You’ve done wonders for my soul. You’ve made me pure, raw, emotional, nothing but feeling. You’ve made me lose every sense of understanding and you’ve made me be okay with that. You make me happier than you could ever imagine and I bet the first time I reach out to hold your hand, you’re gonna smile like a big smiling machine.
